[Pete doesn't look... totally awful. I mean, it could be worse, he's not screaming or curled up on a ball on the floor.

But he is a little pale, and hunches over on himself with a gasp of pain right after clicking on the feed. The camera angle's a little slanted, and one arm is folded over his stomach, but he's upright and walking through the hallway trying to figure out one thing:]

Okay, who has mine? I'm flattered you're so interested in me, but this really needs to stop.

[It's difficult to tell where Ben is, on account of the communicator being at a strange angle, and he's bent over it to boot. A scrap of fabric - bright red and blue - is just visible at the edge.

He doesn't look at the screen, but rather something directly next to it, and his expression is intensely focused.]

The interest is more in the doll, the mechanics thereof, and their purpose.

Right, it couldn't be James, or Anya, or- jeez, Parker, get some better friends I mean- [Okay, focusing on the comm right now right Ben can hear you muttering, dummy.]

Ben, call me crazy, but their purpose is to hurt whoever it looks like. Please put mine down.

I don't think you want me to do that.

[Distracted, the X5 turns the doll in his hands over from back to front and back again, quickly, fingering at the small hole in the seam down its side that he's made. His lips move but not loud enough to be discernible as words, his eyebrows pulled together in concentration.]

We don't know what their purpose is.

[Peter bites back something that might have been a shout, because now he feels nauseous and his side is uncomfortable and painful in a way he can't really describe. He tries to keep his voice steady when he finds it again.]

I do, because that hurt. Knock it off.

[Ben's shoulders stiffen at the order, and something flashes across his eyes. Annoyance.]

I'm being careful.

[He picks up something out of sight of the screen, leans over again. And indeed, carefully loosens a few more stitches to make the hole wider with the knife Rhade left him.]

[He bites his lip, tries to push past the urge to say something stupid in response and tries to just breathe through it.

That doesn't work as perfectly as he'd hoped, but he does grit his teeth and manage to say:]

Where are you?

[Ben doesn't look up, not until Peter asks a question and then he notices the clear signs of strain on his face.

He blinks slowly, processing, and then his eyes narrow and his head cocks curiously.]

You truly can feel that. [He still has the point of the knife where he'd left it. Without looking away from the screen, he twists it ever so slightly, carefully precise.]

[Stiles officially hates dolls. All of them. Because the Child's Play movies hadn't been traumatic enough.]

Fifth floor hallway, kinda thinking about finding a couch and never getting up again.

[Peter is leaning against the wall, making a face and apparently doing everything he can to stay upright through whatever whoever has the doll right now is inflicting on it.

Kind of feels like being poked with needles?]

[He moves to Peter's side, ducking under his arm - and as he pulls it over his shoulder, he lets his hand settle on Peter's. His jaw locks, and he can feel that pain, short little stabs, and he takes it, pulls it onto his shoulders as he pulls Peter's arm there.]

[Peter doesn't fight it, but he does look at Scott with surprise and maybe a little bit of wonder before even considering heading towards the couch.]

[He offers a tight smile, ducks his head and takes Peter's wait on with an arm wrapped around his middle.]

Part of being a werewolf. I can take away peoples' pain when I touch them. Kinda like human morphine, huh?

[He's toying with a doll of his own. He barely acknowledges that he's doing it, twisting arms and wrists. There's a shock of red hair visible, so at least he isn't actively hurting anyone - but still.]

In their defense, it's probably a hideous doll.

Hm? [He looks down at the doll, pauses and sets it aside behind him.]

[That's better. Some of the tension bleeds from his expression.]

Well, I'm not bleeding, it just kind of feels like I'm falling apart, so. I guess it could be worse.
