[Peter Parker, Spider-Man, whichever you prefer to think of him as - and God knows Peter kind of goes back and forth depending on the day and the situation - is a lot of things. One thing he's not?

A covert agent.

Like, seriously, not at all. He's got no skill, no training, no practice in trying to convincingly pass himself off as another person, and of course it's not until now that he's really thinking about how it might have been a good idea to practice this more before they got dumped in this universe again.

But at least he remembers what it was like to be his counterpart, which is better than he could say if this was the first time it was happening to him, so he throws on a black hoodie, pulls the hood up and does his best to look like a grouchy, miserable pain in the ass. It's... not great, but maybe it'll be convincing enough for now to fool people.

Well. Except maybe Anya, and he wonders if Scott's going to be able to smell if he has mountain ash on him. Probably.

At least he knows he's got one friend on board still, and that's enough to get him out of his room and looking for the others. He does his best to avoid anyone who's obviously different, but he needs to know what he's dealing with when it comes to the rest of his friends, and this somehow seems better than trying to hit anyone up over the network.]

[Hey, if anyone has no room to judge when it comes to lame things coming out of your mouth? It's Peter. So no judgement.

He grins and shoves the hood off his head as he steps into the room, waiting until Stiles closes the door to say anything else.]

Right back at you. Dean told me you were alright, but he didn't know about too many others. Have you seen Gwen and Scott?

[Point. Awkward teenagers of a feather flock together or something, apparently. Stiles shuts and locks the door before turning to look at Peter. He grimaces.]

I haven't seen Gwen. But Scott's... [He rakes a hand through his hair and moves to sit in his computer chair.] Yeah, he's affected again. And apparently my other self? Is a werewolf.

Awesome. [Spoilers: that is the most not awesome thing he's heard all day, and he rubs his hands over his face, drags them into his hair, like that's going to do anything to help.]

So he'll like, know immediately that you're different. [Because smell and... whatever.] Do you like, want a body guard? I mean, I'm pretty sure I can take him in a fight.

Not that I want to, I mean, it's Scott.

[Stiles is...still kind of reeling from the idea of his other self being a werewolf, actually.]

He came by earlier. He was pretty confused about me not being a werewolf, but he was...[He wasn't sure what the right word was, really.] Friendly. [He draws in a breath and looks at Peter.] I don't actually think he's going to try anything against me. He said I'd be back to normal in a few days. I think he thinks I died and came back human again.

Well, I mean, no offense to normal Scott, but mirror Scott didn't exactly seem like the sharpest tool in the shed, if you know what I mean. [He kind of reminds him of Flash, if he's being honest. Or what he's heard about Jackson.]

I guess that's better than it could be.

He's not... we kind of, I don't know. Didn't get along last time? Or like, he wanted me to be part of the pack, but my weird mutant DNA didn't really work with it or whatever, so he sort of... I'm not sure he's going to love if we hang out, but I can take him in a fight, if you feel like you need back up.

[Stiles nods, understanding immediately. Normal Scott is so much smarter than most people back home give him credit for. Mirror Scott is operating more off animalistic instincts than anything else.]

I'll definitely keep it in mind. Do you think he'll be coming after you though? Do you have mountain ash? I have some if you need it.

Yeah, he gave me some, I think it's still in my room. [He hopes. Maybe in the jacket he was wearing when he woke up here.] And I don't know. I mean, I think he'd know I'm stronger than him at this point, but I don't know if he'd see that as like, a reason to leave me alone or a reason to take me out, you know?

Yeah. It'll probably depend on if he views you as an active threat or not. [That's troubling. And he hasn't gotten a good enough read on this Scott to determine who he might view as such.]

He probably doesn't. The other me kinda wasn't that ambitious.

[Mostly just sulky and bitter and prone to lashing out at inmates.]

So. [So.] What's your plan?

Then that's good. [That might be a good advantage if they end up needing it.]

Mostly I'm going to try and keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't get out of hand. [And by that he means, try to make sure Scott doesn't go off on a murderous rampage.]

And if he does get out of hand?

[Because he's wondering if that whole murderous rampage thing is the more likely outcome, here. Everyone he knows seems to have that happen at least once to them. u__u]

That's where the mountain ash comes into play.

[He offers Peter a small smile.] I'm kind of a natural at handling the stuff. [He shrugs a little.]

[He smiles back, at least. Nice to know they're still capable of doing that, even in the face of... all of this.] You get a lot of experience using it back home?

Well. [His smile now is sheepish and he shrugs.]

Well technically just...once or twice. But I did sort of make a whole line of it appear with the force of my beliefs.

[Okay oh my god, hold up a sec.]

[He's still kind of shocked, too, really.]

I don't know. Back home Scott has this guy who's sort of like an adviser for all things werewolf-related? He told me I was a "spark" -- [He uses air quotes to illustrate.] -- and never really explained what that means. I mean that only happened once.
