002 | VIDEO

[The video clicks on, and hey Barge, it's Peter again. He looks a lot less sweaty, exhausted and covered in blood than the last time he made a post, considering the cuts on his face have been cleaned and bandaged and he's gotten some sleep, but he still looks a little like hell and he knows it.

At least he was smart enough to make this post when he wasn't all rambly thanks to painkillers, right?]

Hi, uh, take two, I guess. [And that would be a sort of self depreciating smile.] My name's Peter, I'm a warden, and I guess I'm gonna be here for a while.

[... Wait no that's not right.] Not in the infirmary, for a while, I mean, you know, on the Barge. For a while.

Sorry for making kind of a scene the other day, things got kind of crazy before I got here. [Which is the understatement of the century, but. Anyway, moving along.] And thanks for all the offers to help out. I definitely appreciate it.

So, uh, if there's anything I should know about working here, let me know? Thanks.

[Filtered to Tim and Alex]

Thanks for getting me to the infirmary. Sorry if I got any blood on you.

[Spam for Banner]

[Peter wasn't dumb enough to try and sneak out of the infirmary until he got the all clear from the infirmary staff, and on top of that, he really was kind of exhausted. Spending most of the previous night trying to save the city while getting the crap kicked out of you was not really something most people just walked off the day afterward.

Still, he wasn't really planning on spending the entire day napping, and when he caught sight of the doctor who had treated him, he perked up a little and called out to him.]

Hey, uh, Doctor Banner?

[ He's old enough to be your dad, Pete, so maybe that's why the vaguely paternal smile is given. ]

Not a problem. Though I have to wonder at what you went through.

[ After all, Bruce at least waited until he had a double doctorate to ruin his own life. ]

[ Bruce has the Hulk, so he can't do the former and is already halfway to the latter, Peter. No big. ]

Yeah, things like that usually are.

[ Considering how little Bruce likes to talk about his Epic Levels of Baggage, he's not about to press Peter into doing so. He'll talk when he's ready. Or he won't and he'll need something out of the drawer full of stress balls. One or the other. ]

I'd prefer a day of observation, but after that you're in the clear, Mr. Parker.

Though if anything in your condition changes, I need to know immediately.

[ Bruce can't help but laugh mildly. ]

I hope nothing falls off.

Thankfully, I think you're safe from that. But if I see anything odd in the bloodwork I'll let you know. But so far you look pretty good, or someone who got shot.

[ Among other things ]

Some conditions are harder to deal with than others. [ Says the expert on rare, 'fuck your life up' conditions. ] But as a rule: No prison is.
