So, we've got a lot of people talking about finding stuff to do, or like, being kind of out of synch with the rest of us, timeline wise - between psycho brain experiments anyway, dude, really? - and since Lydia was talking about movie nights and stuff, I was thinking we should watch Star Wars again.

I know it's weird doing this kind of thing when like, people know about some of us from movies or whatever, but where I'm from, if you wanna get by in the 21st century, you've gotta see it.

Actually, maybe we should make a list. What other pop culture stuff should people definitely know about?

[... He probably should have said this earlier, but he didn't, and he's not sure he's sorry about that. He's needed some time, and so has Powers, probably, because just. Jeez. Way to hit close to home, flood.]

Look, you can totally ignore this, or not respond or whatever, [He won't be offended.] But I wasn't trying to mess with you. I don't even know what any of that was. The Batman I've heard about isn't some teenager in the future.

So. Sorry. Believe me, I wasn't planning on any of that.

[For a lot of reasons, most of which he's not sure he wants to discuss with you. It's for the best, considering he still doesn't love talking about his own depressing origin story. u_u]

I get that. It's really... ["Disconcerting" doesn't nearly cover it, so she just shakes her head.]

I've been reading a few set outside Gotham, though. Figure it might come in handy. [What? It's not like Booster's going to swing by and tell her how time travel works.]

There are a lot of contradictions, though, so - at least people probably won't get the full story regardless.

It's close enough that I just kind of don't want it on a stage, you know? I mean, I already lived through it.

She read the story of her shooting out of morbid, insistent curiosity. She was not impressed.]

It's all a bit - uncanny valley. Close to the truth, but - distorted enough to be disturbing, even if other people couldn't read it and know all about you.

[A slight grimace, because - she's gotten past that, mostly. She's had to, or she'd be stressing over it constantly. But it's still troubling if she spares it a thought.]

At least I haven't found any stories about the Barge.

I'm kind of more surprised you haven't.

I've theorised that since the Barge exists outside of conventional time and space, it can't be accessed the same way as most other worlds.

I guess that makes sense. But like, shouldn't someone have like, ditched a secret diary or something in the library?

[Her brow furrows, slightly, as she taps her lips.] It's possible.

I'd feel like a jackass reading someone's diary, though. [What? She has standards.]

Of course, then you'd have to wonder how genuine it all was.
