So, if anyone's coffee machine broke and you don't want to bug the Admiral for a new one, drop them off at the maintenance office and I'll see what I can do. I've been fixing appliances since kindergarten.
[Or, you know, trying to.
(He started getting good at it a year or so later.)]

Hi. I'm Peter. I'm guessing you've done the temporary warden thing before?

So, what year was it for you, before you got here?

1891. What kind of film is a Pixar?

Do you like fish?

Oh yes. In fact I have one. [She's proud of that little betta; it's one of the best gifts she's ever gotten.]

[He clicks through to the menu and starts the movie, handing the laptop over so she can look at it.]
A normal animated movie is just like, flat pictures overlaid on top of each other really quickly to make it look like they're moving. This is something you program in the computer and tell it what to do and what to look like. You still need to be artsy and stuff, but it's different because you're not doing it by hand.

It's all so smooth and molded. It almost looks like painted clay; how does the computer make that? Is it sculpted from something?
