[Video, Backdated to Day One of the Flood] [The feed clicks on and has the general fumble that comes along with someone who doesn't really know what they're doing with the device. Eventually, after everyone gets a good couple seconds of the flood of Peter's room, the camera rights itself and a young face peers into the lens. He's about five, and he's got Peter's glasses on, even though they obviously don't really fit him and look both oversized and comically cockeyed on his face. He squints at the device, flips it back over, and from the sound of it, is now taking a screwdriver to the back of it to try and figure out how it works. Eventually, the feed cuts. Maybe ten minutes later, it clicks back on and Peter squints curiously at the camera.] How does this work? [And as an afterthought, he figures he might as well ask:] When are we gonna go home? [Open Spam] [Peter is small for his age and quiet, so for the most part, he's not one of the more noticeable kids on board. He wanders, and peeks at things, and follows certain people around if they seem cool or like they don't mind him tagging along, but for the most part, he keeps to himself and tries to keep out of trouble. His aunt and uncle have been saying he doesn't talk enough these days, but considering he's in a strange place with a bunch of strangers, he figures that's not really a bad thing. ... Except when he's hungry, and isn't quite sure where the dining hall is. Then he's sort of nervously looking around for someone to ask about where he can get a sandwich or something, because he really doesn't want to be a pest or anything but. He's hungry. :c]

I've never heard of it. [But it doesn't seem to bother him, and he definitely doesn't seem like he doesn't believe her.

A thought occurs to him though, and his expression gets a little more somber and serious.] What about your mom? Shouldn't she be the queen?

[Snow shakes her head with a sad, but still gentle smile.]

My mother passed away when I was a little girl.

[theitsybitsyspider]

Oh. [He goes from looking guilty, to hurt, to pensively sad, and he squeezes her hand gently.] My mom's gone, too.

I'm sorry to hear that. [Snow hesitates before asking.] Do you live with your father then?

[theitsybitsyspider]

No. [He sounds sad now, and looks down at the floor.] Their plane crashed. My aunt and uncle are taking care of me.

[That actually makes him have a thought, and he looks up at her curiously again.] Do you have an aunt or an uncle?

[breathoflight]

[She shakes her head.]

No, I don't. What's it like having an aunt and uncle?

[theitsybitsyspider]

It's- [He huffs out a sigh, trying to find out how to explain this to someone who doesn't have an aunt or uncle.] They're very nice. They take care of me, and they try not to be sad about what happened to Mom and Dad. They worry about me a lot.

[He's not sure if he should be telling her this, but he feels like maybe she might like to know. He looks around and drops his voice to a whisper.] Don't tell her, but- Aunt May's meatloaf isn't very good.

[Snow gives him a serious nod that she will keep his secret and guard it well.]

It sounds like they love you very much.

[theitsybitsyspider]

I think they do. I miss Mom and Dad, though. A lot. [But he's still stuck on her situation, because even though she's a queen, it must be hard not to have a mom or dad or someone looking out for you.]

I wish you had an aunt and uncle.

[breathoflight]

[Snow smiles softly.]

I am simply happy for you that you do have an aunt and uncle.
