[The video is upside down. Or, rather, Peter is sitting in a ceiling corner in the level six common room, upside down, and you're getting a weird camera angle as a result. Feel free to adjust your screens accordingly.]

You know, [He starts off, sounding generally more conversational and maybe slightly bored than anything else. Not having an inmate or much really to do is kind of wearing on him.] I know it's like, the butt of every joke imaginable, but Dungeons and Dragons? Way more fun than just sitting around here waiting for the next disaster port to hit, and I don't really think it deserves the bad rep it gets. Crazy, I know, but you might even enjoy it if you gave it a shot.

I mean, a few of you I wouldn't necessarily want to be Dungeon Master or anything - I've seen people who aren't world leaders turn into power crazy psychos, figure we don't need to dump gasoline on any fires - but seriously, might be a decent way to kill some time.

Orrrr anyone got Scattergories? Or Pictionary or something? The copy of Monopoly I found stashed under the television's missing most of the pieces, but honestly, Monopoly is pretty much the worst board game ever invented anyway. Probably not worth tracking down the top hat piece.

[ooc: Peter is affected. c:]

[AT ST. MICHAEL'S COLLEGE

Peter Parker is a servant. His father was a servant, and his father before him, and pretty much on and on as far back as anyone can remember. His family's always worked for St. Michael's College, and they're fiercely proud of being able to serve such a prestigious institution.

Peter's proud too, really, but there's a part of him that desperately, desperately wants something more. Really, it just means he wants to know more, even if he's never going to actually get to do more than clean up after people who just had been born into different circumstances.

So while he can been seen doing chores, helping out in the kitchens, repairing the roofs and basically anything else that needs to get done, he spends a suspicious amount of time dusting in the library, and lingering just outside classrooms. His daemon - a common ringtail possum named Arachne - usually perches on his shoulder to keep watch and make sure no one's going to catch them listening in to lectures on philosophy and politics.

He does it when people are visiting too, or when he's running errands to some of the other colleges, so feel free to wonder what's taking this kid so long in doing whatever task he's supposed to be doing. He's definitely not eavesdropping on your conversation about the North, nope.

THE STREETS

At fifteen, with a settled daemon and more responsibilities at the college, Peter doesn't have as much free time as he used to, and it's just the sad truth that he's largely outgrown a lot of the games he used to play with the other collegers and townies. That said, he and Arachne can still sometimes be found having been roped into playing along with some of the other kids, especially if Arya and her various cronies are involved at all.

Otherwise, he's usually running errands, or using what meager pocket money he's got to purchase books on pretty much every subject imaginable. Sometimes, when he's got time for it, he finds a (relatively, anyway) quiet spot to sit in the market or around the college to read, and takes his time getting home.

He still looks young, but he's too tall and Arachne's too obviously permanently a possum to really attract the attention of any GOB members looking for a new catch, but he still can't help but feel a little of apprehension go down his spine whenever people mention another kid's gone missing. That's never a good thing, and whether the Gobblers are a real thing or not, he still tries to make sure the other college kids get home safe.

He really hopes it's just a silly urban legend.]

Hey, so. Olive's gone. Maybe since port, I think. [Which is a bummer. They've been losing a lot of good people, lately.]

So... [This is unrelated, but. Just go with the segue, people.] If anyone's got, like, I don't know. Broken toasters or lights or whatever? I'm kinda running low on stuff to do to keep busy here, so. Let me know. Or one of the other maintenance guys, I guess.

[Private to Polly]

I found a book with some stuff about clacks towers - we call them telegraphs, sort of? I mean, our telegraphs aren't really exactly the same, but they're pretty close - so I should be able to put one together in a couple days. The thing is, I'm not sure how well it'll work here, I mean, I haven't been able to get a wi-fi signal the whole time I've been here.

[Private to Anya]

Hey. [............. you need to try a little harder than that, Pete.] Um, I know it sucks, when, you know. Stuff like this happens, but. If you want to - I don't know, do something, I'm kind of working on a project for Polly? If need something to do.

[Open Spam]

[It's weird, to complain about being bored in a place like the Barge. Really, no one should feel bored, because there's so much stuff that can happen without any warning at all, but Peter still finds himself wishing he had something more productive to do than just... sitting around.

Of course, that's not explicitly true. He's still spending a lot of time helping out in the infirmary, so he can be found there puttering around and tending to anyone who's still nursing injuries from last port, or a CTS session gone wrong or whatever. But what he's really been missing is having a project to work on, or even just stupid little things he used to do around the house when something needed fixing so they wouldn't have to pay someone to come out and do it for them. He's been spending more time in the Maintenance and Repair offices because if it, and can be found either there or in one of the common rooms or the lab tinkering away with different projects, including the clacks tower for Polly.]

[Warden Filter]

So, uh, has anyone else noticed any weird, panels or something like- [And Peter is turning on the video feed, fumbling with the camera for a moment and pointing it at the wall. You can see Peter's hand stretch out and gently pull back a misaligned wall panel to reveal it pulling away slowly, leaving a gap between it and the innards of the wall, which is definitely big enough for someone to squeeze through if he moves it a couple more inches.] This?

I don't want anyone to like, freak out, [Considering they were doing that enough already.] because it doesn't look like something broke it or anything, but. It's still weird.

[And, you know, deeply concerning if the Barge was actually falling apart or something.]

Has anything like this happened before?

[Private to Bond]

Dude, where are you?
