You know, [He starts off, sounding generally more conversational and maybe slightly bored than anything else. Not having an inmate or much really to do is kind of wearing on him.] I know it's like, the butt of every joke imaginable, but Dungeons and Dragons? Way more fun than just sitting around here waiting for the next disaster port to hit, and I don't really think it deserves the bad rep it gets. Crazy, I know, but you might even enjoy it if you gave it a shot.

I mean, a few of you I wouldn't necessarily want to be Dungeon Master or anything - I've seen people who aren't world leaders turn into power crazy psychos, figure we don't need to dump gasoline on any fires - but seriously, might be a decent way to kill some time.

Orrrr anyone got Scattergories? Or Pictionary or something? The copy of Monopoly I found stashed under the television's missing most of the pieces, but honestly, Monopoly is pretty much the worst board game ever invented anyway. Probably not worth tracking down the top hat piece.

Monopoly has such a dour reputation. Really, it's only problem is that it takes too long. [Beat.] Well, that, and they never adjust for inflation.

Yeah, and a six hour long board game that usually turns into just circling the board until someone goes bankrupt is pretty much the worst game imaginable.

Six hours? Who were you playing with? I normally had everyone beat into unconditional surrender after three.

One, that was hyperbole, and two, my aunt and uncle, mostly. And those three hours couldn't have been spent doing like, literally anything more productive?

Probably. But considering we were already in a state of mind to be playing a board game in the first place, it likely wouldn't have.

It's better against people your own age anyway. Less cross-generational tantrums.

Really? People my own age were the ones who were usually worse to play with.

Because Flash Thompson is a bully with some serious anger issues.

It's not totally his fault though, I mean, it's rough losing your dad.

I imagine it would be. [Uninterested.] No offense but it sounds to me like your problem was, you weren't very good at choosing your 'friends'.

It's not like I'm traumatized or anything, it's just a lame board game.

And you honestly think Pictionary is a better call? It's basically a glorified version of Hangman.

Tired, frustrated, annoyed. I hate not being a hundred percent, I hate feeling helpless, and I feel like it's my own fault. [Her eyes widen, for a second, before her lips curve in a rueful smile.] And that was more than I meant to say.
