[Private to Bond]
[So. Two things.
1. Peter did not expect to be paired this quickly.
And 2. Peter did not expect his inmate to be James freaking Bond. How are you supposed to warden James Bond? He knew there were people like that on board after talking with Kay - and really, kind of a bummer he hadn't been handed like, Darth Vader's file or something, but hey - but it was still totally unexpected. He'd thought he'd end up with someone who was like, a car thief or a serial killer or basically someone he'd never heard of before, and this was kind of crazy.
Still, he reads the file quickly and doesn't take long after that to get in touch with him over the network, kind of excited to get started on this.]
So- [Oh crap. What is he supposed to call you? Mr. Bond? Bond? James? ... Jimmy?
Okay wait, he's chickening out of committing to a name for now.] We should probably talk.
[Warden Filter]
So, obviously I'm kind of new at this whole thing, and I'm not usually one for gossip, but if anyone's got any information on stuff I should know [Oh crap oh crap seriously Parker you need to decide on what you're going to call him sooner rather than later.] about my inmate, you know, like. From before I got here? Let me know.

[Hi guess who is stubborn and overconfident because superpowers.]

Didn't you ever learn we use our words when we're upset?
[Spam]
If you think for a moment that I'm going to stand for you following me about and asking inane questions, you're bloody mistaken.
[Spam]
[He's still keeping his distance though. Fool me once, and all that.]
[Spam]
Why are you here, Parker?
[Spam]
I'm guessing you want more than the cryptic "I made a deal" line?

But alright, all joking aside, Peter's expression gets more serious and sober, because this is something he takes seriously, and he wants to make sure Bond understands what's going on here, plus or minus actually admitting he was Spider-Man.]
I know how ridiculous this is going to sound, [Although, really, they were on a ship with someone who went by Poison Ivy, who was green and could apparently kill you by touching you, so. Maybe it wasn't going to sound that ridiculous.] but right before I left, this guy I used to intern with [Close enough?] kind of accidentally mutated himself into a giant lizard. He was trying to regrow his arm using cross species genetic, you know, take the trait that lets lizards regrow their tails after they've been cut off and adapt it to his DNA to replace the limb he'd lost? But something went wrong and he went kind of nuts.
He was planning on gassing the whole city and turning everyone into lizards like him. It was crazy, everyone was panicking and trying to figure out how to stop him, and I kinda got caught up in the middle of it, which is why I look like I got hit by a car. [He has to stop for a second, speaking deliberately when he continues, because he doesn't actually really trust himself to stop his voice from breaking if he doesn't keep his jaw locked as he talks.] My girlfriend's dad is- was the police captain, and he tried to stop Dr. Connors. He died.
[And it's said - in his tone, but also in his expression and posture, the way he can't really look at Bond when he says it, the tension - in a way that someone with Bond's background should know really means "he basically died in my arms".]
The Admiral offered me a deal for him, so I took it.

It was absurd (so was a green woman) and sad, but Bond wasn't often given to sympathy. Revenge was one thing: he wanted that very, very much. But returning the dead wasn't something he'd considered in the three days between losing Vesper and arriving here. And here she was, waiting for him, like some cosmic prank.
He hadn't remotely begun to grieve, and he wasn't going to grieve for others.
James nodded once - he wouldn't mock Peter for this, but he wasn't going to coddle him, either. So he turned on his heel, and headed back down the stairs.]
Find another inmate. And burn the copy you kept.
[Spam]
Why?
[Spam]
Because I don't want someone slipping into your room and finding it. [He's pretty sure that's not the why Parker meant but it's the why that lets him be as sarcastic as possible.]
[Spam]
Ha ha. [Look, he can be sarcastic too!] I'm not getting another inmate. I get that you probably don't want a warden at all, but you're gonna be stuck here for a while if you don't have one, and it kind of sounds like this isn't a place you want to stay for years if you can help it.

Is this what it's going to be like, for the rest of eternity then? You following and never shutting up?
[Spam]
That's what it's looking like, yeah.

And Bond isn't given to expansive gestures, but if he was he'd be rolling his eyes and sighing right now. Instead, he's just taking Parker's measure (again) and deciding if a punch in the face is necessary.
Maybe later.]
She knew who I was; if this was some ridiculous Quantum plot, a permanent death would put a hole in it. [But he came back so it's real and fuck this place, are you satisfied now Pete, we might as well get this all out in the open.]
[Spam]
Do you think she's going to give you any more trouble?
[Spam]
Doubtful. [Like monosyllable short, apparently. But really, he's more likely to put a bullet in her head, he thinks.
Clearly he should get a sniper rifle from Vesper.]
[Spam]
How's the rest of being here been?
[Spam]
Dull. [This is going to be the nature of their conversations for a long time, isn't it B(]
[Spam]
Anything worth mentioning?
[Spam]
Nothing of note. [Which really just means he wouldn't tell you if there was because you're twelve. B|]
